Our Vicar, Chris, has started his new ministry as Hospital Chaplain at Wairau Hospital, Blenheim. He will continue to take services in the Parish until the end of July. Let’s be praying for a new Vicar, of God’s choosing,
Rai Valley services are now being held twice a month. With so many children and the absence of a toilet at St Mark’s, we are holding services at the Mount Richmond Estates conference centre. Services are family oriented and are held on the 2nd and 4th Sundays of each month at 11.00am.
Good Friday: 10.00am Stations of the cross at Sacred Heart church followed by hot cross buns morning tea at St Peter’s church hall.
Easter Sunday: 9.30am St Peter’s Church, Lawrence St. Communion.
Easter Sunday: 2;30pm Waitaria hall. Communion.

Here are our Easter week Christian gatherings to which you are very warmly welcome.

– Easter Sunday 27th March, 9.30am Communion at St Peter’s, Havelock
– Easter Sunday 27th March, 2.30pm Communion at Waitaria Hall
Easter can be a busy family/holiday time, but this particular holiday is just that: “holy”. Don’t miss out on the blessing of gathering together to worship the One who gave His life as a ransom for each one of us.”The wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Jesus Christ our Lord.”

Hi Folks, our AGM will be held after church on the 3rd of April, 2016 in the parish hall at 30 Lawrence Street, Havelock. If you have something you’d like to include under General Business, please call Chris Donaldson.
It was such a privilege to be able to send our Christmas offerings from Havelock and Linkwater to the Antioch Network who will pass on the almost $US1000 to the the Association of Turkish Protestant Churches for their work assisting Yazidi refugees in Turkey. Thanks to everyone who gave so generously.
Susanne Donaldson has been appointed as our new Eldercare worker, as Val Seatter resigned last month. Susanne will commence her duties of 6 hours per week from February 16th.
Annie Fraser, our diocesan manager will be with us on Friday 19th February, meeting in the church. Everyone is invited. Vestry members: Please attend! We will also have a BBQ together at 6am, at the Vicarage, to which you are also invited, and an opportunity to meet and chat with Annie informally.
Rai Valley Services are now held at 3.30pm once a month, on the 2nd Sunday. This is a family service with lots of small children as well as parents. We have children’s songs story and activities as well as a short message for the adults and a time of worship in song. All this is followed by afternoon tea and great fellowship. Everyone is very welcome.
The Parish requires the services of an eldercare worker. This is a paid position and involves 6 hours per week. For expressions of interest, please contact Val Seatter.
